Death, The Serenader
I sit perfectly still in the evasive darkness that slowly envelopes the house; my house.
I gradually creep from my charred sanctuary, away from the comforting wraps of my blanket. I check the moons placement in the glittery blackness of the sky, the moons rays beaming down on my broken down house.
Its almost in place, I thought. A few more hours maybe?
I look around; the remains of my once proud family treasures are either burnt or destroyed.

As The Sun Sets In The Sky
As the Sun sets in the sky,
The hours of night trudge on by,
The yells,
The cries,
The screams of men,
Dying slowly; never to be seen again,
They all fight on,
Their heads hung low,
Waiting for sunshine,
Waiting with woe,
The darkness unfolds,
The night is young,
All British,
All German soldiers meet,
Below the ground and out of reach,
This is where their destinies lie,
As the Sun sets in the sky.
